About the role
It's a 48-month graduate trainee placement, based in Obuasi, Accra or Tarkwa, with accommodation included. The idea is to take fresh graduates and rotate them through different operational settings, so they learn the whole chain of open pit gold extraction, from the ground to the finished product. Along the way you build on-the-job skills, the right attitude and behaviours, and the confidence to take on bigger professional responsibility in your own field. The company also treats the programme as a talent pipeline, so the best trainees become future staff and leaders.
What we are looking for
- Graduates in engineering (electrical, mechanical, mining, chemical, metallurgical, civil, geological), geology and earth sciences, HR, environment and safety, accounting, or land and rural development. On the personal side, they want people who communicate well, work well in a team, learn fast, spot problems and suggest solutions, and can deal with people from different backgrounds.
