About the role
The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is an Engineering department role in Ghana, reporting to the Shift Supervisor, responsible for keeping production equipment in good working order with minimal downtime. The technician inspects, cleans and maintains molds and machines, diagnoses and records mechanical faults and follows up on repairs, repairs mechanical and pneumatic systems to technical standards, and supports preventive maintenance while keeping maintenance logs. Candidates need a technical diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, 0 to 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience, and knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting, tools, measuring instruments and pneumatic systems, along with attention to detail, teamwork and the ability to work safely under pressure
What you will do
- Inspect, clean and maintain molds and machines
- Diagnose and record mechanical faults and follow up on repairs
- Repair mechanical and pneumatic systems to technical standards
- Support preventive maintenance and keep maintenance logs
What we are looking for
- Education: Technical diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Experience: 0 to 3 years in mechanical maintenance work
- Technical knowledge: Mechanical troubleshooting, tools, measuring instruments and pneumatic systems
- Behavioural traits: Attention to detail, teamwork and the ability to work safely under pressure
